Canned 8/28/25, drunk 10/22/25.
Muddy blueberry pulp with a small, bright pink head, short-lived.
Tart blueberry is authentic and bright without too much sugar. Lactose almost no where to be found and I don't really get any graham cracker in the nose, thankfully. Vanilla is tasteful and softens things, as its wont to do.
Wow! Bright, tart, very dry with a slightly gritty texture that seems appropriate. Mild vanilla, minimal lactose and authentic blueberry. Really like how authentic the blueberry and vanilla are and how cleanly-done the lactose is here. A pastry sour I can actually get behind. And not sweet?! Sign me up for more. Really impressed with how far Spyglass has come with all of their styles.

Tap at Billie’s, Saturday. The cheesecake flavouring just stands out too much, as a blueberry sour it’s uninteresting and in general I don’t really want my beer to look and taste like a fruit yogurt.

16 oz can. In a trade with tfontana. Deep crimson color that’s nearly purple. I don’t know what the hell cheesecake extract is but this works. The blueberry is tart enough to balance the sweet cheesy like texture. Berry is strong enough to remind you that it’s still an actual beer and not just a smoothie!

Draught Almost whipped yoghurt-like purple foam on drab purple fluid - smoothy beer? Cake, yoghurt (fruit-), fruits de bois. Sweet, blueberry cake, billberry yoghurt, etc. But as to beer? Sticky, bit chewy; fruit- (or cracker?) filled. Not a bad taste - but is this still beer?

12/XI/22 - on tap @ Billie’s Craft Beer Fest (day 2), BB: n/a (2022-1586) Thanks to all for sharing today’s beers!

Dirtiest looking beer ever, very chunky deep purple red to rusty brown beer, looks more like a badly blended smoothie. Weird fluffy aery irregular deep purple red head, stable, looking very dirty with all sorts of chunky shit in the glass. Aroma: all lactose and fake vanilla, smells like tic tac mints (vanillin) and where’s that blueberry? MF: no carbon, medium to light body. Taste: oh my, all fake vanilla, tastes like adjuncts. Also lactose, dirty, artificial flavourings, pretty bad. Aftertaste: a little bitter, some tannins, lactose, unpleasant, don’t like this one at all.
