On tap at Billie’s, Saturday. It’s got a bready, somewhat chocolatey character to it both in aroma and a lot of cinnamon. Like, loads of it. That, plus a thinnish body, so not quite there all in all.

Medium, rather stable yellowish cream-coloured head over redbrown highlighted black beer. Sweet - almost cloying if one can say that about a smell - with cocos, vanilla and cinnamon aromas. Bit like a flavoured chocolate drink from Mesoamerica. Sweet, but more mild than the nose made me fear. The vanill is still towering above all else. Cinnamon present but very restrained. Again some cocos-like notes. FInish has a short whiff of chilli. Well-bodied, well-carbonated; slick, smooth & warming. Please guys, go easy on the vanilla, cocos, marshmallow and other icecream parlour stuff. We're adult, please?! Txs to Stef

Pours black, small tanned head. Scent is full, cinnamon recognizable, but not overpowering. Taste is sharp, cinnamon far more pronounced here, overpowering even. Milder roast and chocolate. Fairly thin.

Keg at Wishful Drinking, Rickmansworth, Herts. A very dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Sweet cinnamon, vanilla, malty, chocolate, aroma and taste. Not overly sweet. Pleasant enough flavoured porter.

Can thanks to Stuu666. Appearance - deep brown to black with a red chink. Nose - sweet spice and cola. Taste - cola cubes, general cola. Light tar. Palate - medium bodied, dry finish. Overall - I didn't get much cinnamon, but I quite like it.

440ml can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Nov 22. Pours dark with a deep tan head. Strong cinnamon presence on the nose and to taste, moderate chocolate notes with dark malty layers. Went well with a Morrisons mince pie.
