15/06/2011 Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Corpo medio, carbonazione corretta. Buona double IPA, gradevolissima e davvero ben fatta. Da provare.

Tap at CP&K. It pours hazy orange-amber with a thin foamy off-white head and low to moderate carbonation. The nose is resin, orange, mango and grapefruit. The taste is resin, wood, orange, mango, apricot, lemon, hay, bread and grass, with a long bitter-pine finish. There is some alcohol warmth towards the finish, but not that of a 9% beer. Medium bodied and oily mouth-feel. It’s nice to see a solid Eurpoean IIPA.

Had this beer at Alvinne Craft Beer Festival 2011. In comparison to the regular IPA this one is a little more cloudy, not as bright. Also it hasn’t got as much smell. Not good or bad, it’s just not there. Overall a pretty fine beer though.

Hopfig fruchtiger, ziemlich intensiver Antrunk. Stark blumig, intensiv, durch die Süße auch sehr süffig. Wenig komplex, dafür sind die vorhandenen Aromen intensiv und gefallen. Blumig intensiver Abgang. 12/13/12/13//12

Tap at 4:20. Pours a slightly hazy, bright gold with a medium, then slight foam head. Beautiful aroma, juicy, some notes of cat urine, young pine. Med sweet, decent citrus character, sharp resins and pine. Medium bodied with soft to fine carbonation. Slightly sticky finish, plenty of hops to go around, modest malts of caramel and honey. Good beer overall.

On tap at The Grove, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire 23.04.11 Doesn’t look wonderful from the pour to be honest, there is an awful lot of bits and bats in suspension (possibly near bottom of cask?) I would have stopped right there however you don’t drink with your eyes and this actually tasted fine enough. Tangy with plenty of juicy fruits, maybe not quite as hoppy as I expected, but still it wasn’t bad at all, despite the looks. A7 A1 T7 P3 Ov14 3.2
