Amber in colour, hazy. Finely bubbled, ecru-coloured head, perforated and disappearing rather quickly. The aroma is predominantly malty, with a touch of bread and nuts. Caramel notes dominate the taste, with a light, sweet bread note. Delicate bitterness. Drinkable and distinctive! Truly delicious! I recommend it!

Bottle at home. Aroma is buttery, malt, toffee, nuts, some caramel, rotten fruits, butterscotch. Flavour is over moderate sweet. Body is medium. Ruined by nasty diacetyl buttery aroma.

A bit like a basic Vienna lager. Smooth with malty sweetness. Good with food - it doesn’t have any distinct flavour or strong character that would disturb the taste of the food. It went really well with okonomiyaki.

500ml bottle from In Pivo Veritas in Moscow. Pours clear amber with a small white head. Aroma is cooked vegetables, butterscotch and tortilla chips. Taste is medium sweet, caramel malt, nuts, and corn. Light bitter finish. Quite drinkable but also quite strange.

Bottle from local Polish shop (not listed in RB – yet !). 1 litre bottle badged as “Augŝtaitijos Bravorai Magaryĉių Alus”, but I’m told it’s the same beer as the breweries are connected. Not a good start as it pours a murky yellowish brown, with very little head. However, has a nice aroma of hops and honey. In the mouth it is sweet with honey and peaches winning out over hops, plus hints of lemon and butterscotcj. Has a nice creamy texture with low carbonation, and a sweet lasting finish. Really rather drinkable.

Swing top bottle. Amber color, hazy. Floral, buttery aroma. Sweet caramelly flavor with yoghurt, butter, nuts. Grapes and plums. Diacetyl is within acceptable limits. Very fruity aftertaste. Weird but OK.
