From tap at Borefts 2022. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malt, light peat. Bittersweetish, more bitter than sweet. Light alcohol. Great beer, well-rounded.

Bottle. A black one, with a small beige head. Peat, roasted malts, some coffee and dark chocolate in the aroma, with some notes of dark dried fruit. Cocoa, licorice and alcohol. It's full-bodied, warming and sweet, with a soft bitterness. Roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, peat and some brown sugar in the flavor. Dark dried fruit. Lasting finish. A bit rough this one, but sure nice. 241019

Woah, peat bomb! Great body, thick, strong and firm. Lots of roast, oldschool heavy salty licoricecoffee stuff. The barrel is very present, with peat aplenty. I can see people easily finding this too strong, but I love it.

Black with dark creamy head. Very strong with roasted malts. Bittersweet. Rich, boozy. Almost hot from the alcohol.

Op tap bij Borefts '22. The word 'peated' was crossed out on the tap label (same as bottle label), but the other text (mentioning rökt whisky) was left untouched. The tap list on the chalkboard also didn't mention 'peated'. Black colour, beige head. Roasted malt, strong honey presence, light ashy, black liquorice, some dark fruits, coffee, dry, bitter. No peat detected. Medium bodied. Not as 'wow' as earlier versions, but still a great stout.

Tap at Borefts 2022. Both the label (which was a copy of the bottle label) that was attached to the tap and the board did NOT say Peated, but on the label at the tap the description clearly said rökt whisky and not orökt like the unsmoked 2019 one. Black color with beige head. Aroma is dark chocolate, wood, roast, quite deep. Taste is roasty malts, dark chocolate, some caramel and honey from the whisky, mildly warming finish. Velvety mouthfeel, quite chewy, fine-bubbled carbonation. Excellent old school Impstout, as expected!
