Dark ruby red, with an orangey fruity malt character. The spicy, resinous, lemony Goldings absolutely sing through the beer combining beautifully with the malt, and the bitterness is powerful and lasting, punching through the residual sweetness.

Cask @ BBF 2011. Soft oily medecinal hoparoma. Very malty flavor. Full bodied. Lots of earthy hops. Grassy. Long aftertaste. Good!

Borefts Beer Festival 3. Clear brown beer, residual white head. Dry palate. A little caramel malt. Lots of bitter hops. Why there is some floralness there isn’t to much hop fruit. Dry finish with a long bitter linger. Ok but it’s too skewed towards bitterness for me.

Wenig intensiver aber interessanter Karamellantrunk mit zarten Hopfennoten. Die Süße ist ebenfalls gelungen und gering, harmonisch, etwas Frucht. Stimmig! /12/12/12//12

Boreft Beer Festival 2011. Chestnut colour with a small off-white head. Biscuit malty aroma with dried fruit, and a touch of spicy hops. Sweet malty and fruity flavour with a rich, full mouthfeel. Quite bitter finish

Cask at CP&K. It pours deep mahogany brown, with a thick bubbly off-white head. The nose is wood, fruity berry, sherry/port and warming spice. The taste is chocolate, fruity tang, bitter-sweet, wood, big hop bitterness, sherry, raisin, fig, red grape, spice and alcohol warmth with a dry-woody finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. A tasty, hoppy old ale. Interesting.
