Bottle 1: Flat, stale, no carbonation. Revolting. Bottle 2: Given as a replacement the same. Horrendous beers which should never have left the brewery.

(bottle) Hazy, orange-golden colour with a blond mid-sized foamy head. Fruity hoppy aroma with a mildly malty background and (unfortunately) present coriander spice. Mildly sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Malty and mildly fruity taste with spicy notes of coriander and ginger; mildly sweet and delicately bitter finish with rounded malty and fruity hoppy accents, but also with very present notes of coriander. Finally too much spiced for my liking. 13.IV.13

Bottle from Gluggles in York. Aroma of Belgian yeast/fruity esters. Quite fruity for a tripel. Full bodied. Flavor is mixed fruit, perhaps banana included, with something quite suggesting burnt toffee. I could believe this was brewed in Belgium. Finishes a bit earthy/toffee/fruity. The combination of flavors is arguably unique and very arguably complex. Nice surprise.

Bottle: Deep golden with an orangey sheen and a medium-sized, relatively auickly collapsing off-white head, sweet bready-fruity nose with a certain amount of hops in the background; solid sweet-bitter flavour, quite full bodied, but a bit fizzy; drier in the hoppy and bready-fruity finish, a warming alcohol-burn is detectable. Announced as a "Belgian Tripel", but certainly british…

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BBE May 2015, at Oluttupa Viisi Penniä, 20130324) A gusher. The beer poured amber and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had caramell, malts, Belgian style yeast and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramell, honey, mildly Belgian style yeast, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A very malty English strong ale with a hint of Belgian style yeast. Not a bad beer but not a tripel either.

50cl, BB 12/2015, batch#Gyle2252.

Bottle. Gold with a white head. Aroma of light sugars, oranges and spices, light dough. Subdued sweetness with caramel, peaches, orange, biscuit, vanilla, coriander, white pepper, cloves. Alcohol very well hidden. Slightly syrupy mouthfeel beneath the yeast. Maybe the coriander’s a bit much towards the finish. Very English malt touches but very much a Tripel - and a good one.

500mL bottle, split with Matts_Property, pours a cloudy, murky dark orange with a lingering, two-finger white head. Aroma is quite spicy, with coriander, orange peel, yeast, caramel malt, and some dried fruit (like apricot). Flavour is quite funky / rustic like a saison, orange peel, coriander, with some farmhouse characteristics, with lots of yeast. Complex and dry mouthfeel. Really enjoyable.
