Drupelet is a blend of two barrels filled in August & December 2021, fermented with Kveik yeast, Saison yeast, lactobacillus and brettanomyces before ageing for just under three months on second use blackberries and fresh raspberries.

Fantastically juicy, with bass beats of funky blackberry and bright, zippy raspberry hitting the high notes. Vanilla, lemon peel and tannic fullness give way to cigar skin funk from the brett, a light bitterness and lingering autumnal jammy fruits.

Drink now or age to see where the funk takes it!

Pours unclear pink, scent is very aromatic, berry forward. Natural and 'unsugared candy' if that even is a thing. Taste is sharp, tart, lovely raspberry tartness and aroma. Bit underripe fruits, perhaps ?

Draught Bit still-looking deep red beer with a small nondescript rim. Cassis, red/blue berries, hint at lemonscented herbs, some raspberry. Fresh, lemonjuice-cured berries. Mix of fruitacids and -sugars making up the board. Retronasal raspberry. Light body, soft carbonation. Aftertaste displays not only lipsmacking acidity, but even astringency. Quite OK fruitbeer, if harsh.

Great summer crushable beer. Great mild but dominant fruit contribution. __ Billie’s craft beer fest 2023__

75cl bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, June 23. Clear reddish appearance. Fruity hedgerow berry aroma, good raspberry presence to taste with soft distant blackberry. Nice clarity of flavour. Gentle sour edge. Really good.

19th June 2023, Shrewsbury Monthly Beer Swap in Chez Sophie. Five guys enjoying life taking bollox. 750ml bottle; BB 31st July 2032. Raspberry red, no head to speak of. Raspberry front to the nose and tart flavour, it's semi-sour rather than a cheek sucking sour puss. Blackberry flavours creep in once you get passed the Raspberry lead.
