330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, amber colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally starchy, pale malty and slightly fruity, hoppy aroma, hints of honey, a touch of apple. Taste is sweet-ish, pale malty, hints of honey, bitter hoppy counterpart with a weak touch of green apple; almost a bit pungent, lingering, bitter hoppy finish. Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously slightly dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Balanced on relatively high level (sweetness vs. bitterness), not overly complex - OK.

Bottle looks good. Beer in the glass with a nice small head. Malty alcoholic aroma. Starts fine malty, spicy, sticky-alcoholic, yeasty-fruity notes as well. Finish spicy-malty. Sweetish. Interesting.

Der Ruhrbock der Flaschenbierfreunde Dortmund, Fläschchen aus Tausch mit Pivnizub - Dank in den Ruhrpott! - Goldbraun, trüb. - Die Nase ist wenig bocktypisch: blaß süßlich, eher weizenmalzig-hefig als sauber gerstig, mit matter zitrusfruchtiger Hopfung und Mandarine. - Antrunk breit malzsüß und verschwommen hefig mit bittersüßer Mandarine, sirupartiger Süße, Waldhonig und vager Hopfenherbe. Milder rezent, vollmundig, schlecht kaschierter Alkohol, likörartig. Im Abgang vage Hopfenherbe. - Sehr süßer, zu lieblich gehopfter Doppelbock, dem gerade das fehlt, was für mich einen guten Bock ausmacht, nämlich füllige, sauber untergärige Malzigkeit und kernige traditionelle Hopfung. Danke Buddelfreund! Deep golden, fine carbonation ,offwhite lace. Grainy sweet aroma. Medium full body, mellow to sticky mouthfeel. Chewy honey sweet base, berry notes, light caramel, heather/herbal hop finish, a hint metal, honey retronasal. On the sweet side, but pleasant enogh dessert Bock.

0.33 l bottle from 'Craft Bier Bude', best before March 2023. Hazy, orangeish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly floral and a bit fruity aroma of caramel, honey, some sultanas and light marzipan. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter taste of grains, honey, caramel, some sultanas and light marzipan, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite okay for a pale Doppelbock, rather classic execution.
