Inspired by juicy IPAs, made with hops for a drier, floral finish. Juicy yet dry. Or dry yet juicy. Mmm.

330ml can. Hopped mead is a new one for me as well sparkling mead. Hazy pale straw colour, brief fizzy head. Aroma of sweet honey, DIY shops and flowers. Taste is sweet honey which flows through well to the finish considering its been watered down. Floral hops come through with a modest dry bitter and juicy finish. Well made.

Can from Lowcostbeer. It pours clear very pale yellow - gold with a small white head. The aroma is sweet, intoxicating, juicy, melon, white grape, kiwi fruit, fragrant honey, lime sherbet and lemonade. The taste is sweet, juicy, tangy, bright, green fruit ms, melon, white grape juice, kiwi fruit, greengage, lemon - lime, lime cordial, floral honey and some white sugar with some dryness through the finish. Average body and fine, spritzy carbonation. Pretty pleasant. Nice fruity character.

Sample courtesy of mR_fr0g, cheers Fergus! Very pale yellow gold colour, bubbly white foam head and aroma of floral, fruity, kiwi, dessert pear, citric. Taste is honey, floral, kiwi fruit, juicy, with light citric acidity. Medium bodied, light carbonation, lingering kiwi fruity notes at the finish. Quite drinkable.

Can at home picked up from the the bermondsey tap. A light hazed pale petrol coloured pour with a small white head. Aroma is semi sweet, pear, kiwi, wallpaper paste, light floral notes, plastic. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, light floral honey, pear, kiwi, delicate, semi crisp, white sugar. Palate is semi sweet, crisp, little thin, highish carbonation. Pretty easy going.

Can from Seasons farm shop, Windlesham is it? Aroma had honey sweetness strained through herbal hops. Clear muted gold. Creamy foamy thin white head. Low key throughout - honey sweetness with a citrus streak. Underlying veg. Light bodied. Slick if thin. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. Hmm. It's OK if uninspiring.

330ml can from their online shop. Clear pale yellow-gold, short-lived white head. Aroma of honey, floral, hints of citrus. Taste is much the same, mostly sweet honey and floral notes, with the slightest hints of citrus fruit, doesn't seem particularly hoppy. Light bodied. Nice easy drinking sweet mead, fails to deliver in the hops department though.

330ml can from Whole Foods, Kensington. Misty golden yellow, thin white head. Pleasant citrussy nose alongside the honey. Gently carbonated. Some other citrus fruit coming into play with this one. Some mild Gooseberry and lime perhaps. Not bad.
