440ml can. Clear amber/copper, off-white head. Aroma of bready, lightly toasted malts, peppery hop spice. Taste has a very well balanced bittersweet profile, light toasty bready malts, small amount of sweet caramel and a bit of nuttiness, some light herbal hop bitterness. Extremely well done. Surely among the best UK brewed Festbiers.

Can at home picked up from HOTM. A mostly clear burnt orange copper coloured pour with a decent off white loose head. Aroma is semi sweet, autumnal cereals, toasteed nuts, rustic layered grains, some grass. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, toasted nuts, rye, bark, toasted honey, rustic cereals. Spicy grassy hop, Nice nutty cereal character. Palate is semi sweet, light grains, fine carbonation. Really nice.

Can from Drink? Hebden Bridge. Dark clear copper coloured with a fair head from its pour. This is a pretty good effort in terms of this German style and is bready-malty, with the former a little more dominant. There's also a sweetness to this.

440ml can. Gluten Free. Dark brown colour, foamy tan head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of malt, bread, grass. Taste is sweetish, malty, bready, toffee hint, fruity, with some mellow earthy hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry grassy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.
