Gesha village in Ethiopia is said to be the birthplace of coffee. Not only does this region offer up the longest coffee history, it also boasts some of the best stuff in the world. This stout is a celebration of that heritage. And a way to show appreciation for some personal close friends in Ethiopia that are part of a handful of incredibly rigorous coffee growers.

Bottled 33oml. -from Spicy Days Zagreb. Pitch black coloured, medium sized brown head, coffee, light chocolate and some roast in the nose. Sweet malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee and alcohol with roasty notes in the finish. Nice and pleasant but something is missing here...

2 October 2018. Omnipollo AON Release Party @ Gollem, Antwerp. Thanks to Thierry & Ama Deke for the sample!
Rating based on a very small sample; but when am I going to have this again anyway? Cloudy black with a small, frothy, dark beige head. Intense aroma of coffee roast, pure coffee bean, cinnamon, fondant, chocolate cake, macadamia, vanilla. Taste is medium to heavy sweet, chocolate & pralinΓ©, cake, nutty edge; light roasted bitter, fondant, faintly fig-like sour. Dryish, malty, bit herbal hoppy finish, chocolate powder & coffee roast, warming kahlua alcohol but actually quite subtle. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Rich stuff.

Tap @ Van Moll 5 year anniversary. Shared with Joes and Judyvv. Opaque black color, average sized brown colored head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma is malts and heavy bourbon. Flavor is malts, again heavy bourbon, coffee and coffee bitter. Hmm weird side flavors so to speak. Hmm don't really like this. 7-4-7-4-12.

Bottle. Almost pitch black, but very very dark brown, creamy brown-gray head. Smooth, full, creamy Noa aroma with a fine dose of coffee. Soft taste, lighter than expected, definitely more so for 11% with the Noa aromas burying the nice coffee flavors, while the coffee, in turn, dries the taste out and I'm not sure it works fully. Very nice, but not fantastic.

0.33 l bottle shared with Marko and Anna God. Black, small but brown head. Small but lasting brown head. Strong dark chocolate aroma, spices, nutty, light coffee, more like a chocolate cake. Bourbon present. Strong coffee and tiramisu flavour. Sweet. Fakeish. Medium to full body, lasting coffee and chocolate finish. Fake, but good.

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of mocha, hazelnut, malt and some red fruit. Taste has mildly acidic coffee, hazelnut, red fruit, mocha and adjuncts. Thin body. Not bad, normal one is better.
