330 ml red waxed bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 13.6%. Hops are Chinook and Challenger. Cloudy dark brown colour, small beige head. Boozy aroma of bourbon and oak, hints of dried figs and some hops. Rich and warming mouthfeel. Flavour of oak, bourbon, malts, brown sugar, dried figs, moderate bittering hops.

Darkish amber, pours relatively flat. This is sweetish, sticky, with a decent bourbon character. Medium body, nice sugars but it's got light, drinkable character. A light tannin note in the finish, but this does not come across at all like a bourbon barley wine.

330mL bottle, pours a clear mahogany with a small beige head. Nose has a very nice bourbon character, plenty of brown sugar, and toffee. Flavour is fairly sweet, with lots of brown sugar, caramel, toffee, and bourbon barrels. Nicely rounded, with the bourbon acting more moderately. Big flavours, but quite a moderate body. Excellent.

330mL bottle. Pours clear deep copper with an off-white head. Lots of bourbon barrels and dried fruit on the nose; bready malts and dry caramel. Flavour has lots of bourbon barrels, dried fruit, brown sugar, some crusts, dry caramel; well-balanced. Reasonably full body and drinks very smoothly. Very nicely done.

Аромат замечательный, тонкие ноты карамели и сладкой патоки, немного жженого сахара, бочка, но не сильная, возможно намеки на изюм. Цвет коричневый, пенки нету. Вкус такой же, тонкий, богатый но не яркий, благородный. Снова карамель и патока, бочка при глотке, намеки на ваниль на долгом финише. Отличный барлик с выдержкой.

Sensory Sessions #100: cloudy, reddish-brownish color and a small off-white head. Fat nose: malty, raisins, decaying fruits, vanilla, toffee. Taste is sweet and rich: rum-raisins, vanilla, caramel, oaky. Slighlty boozy peak. Really nice.

0.33 l bottle from 'SpeciaalBierPakket.nl', best before June 2031. Hazy, ruby with a thin, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Intensely sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of bourbon, molasses, honey, cherry, raisins and vanilla. Fairly sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity taste of molasses, honey, bourbon, cherry, figs, raisins and vanilla, followed by a long, moderately bitter, just a little boozy finish. Full body, smooth and slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Lovely sipper, benefits so much from the barrel, so much better than the base beer.
