Talus is the tribute name given to this new hop variety from the rocky slopes of the Pacific North West - and it's a lot catchier than “Experimental Hop HBC692”
The aroma of Talus hops has been described as a mix of tangerine peels, rose petals, grapefruit, stone fruit, oak, coconut, and spicy, woody pine notes. We agree.

(Can, Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival, 8 Sep 2023) Cloudy golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with mango, pineapple, grapefruit and grass. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of mango, grapefruit, pineapple, grass, pine needles, resin and a balanced citric/piney bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and refreshing, with a good tropical hop presence. Nice one.

44cl can de Systembolaget, BB 03/02/2024, ramenée de Suède en mai 2023.
Dorée sur un léger pâle, col crémeux blanc tenace.
Arôme est frais assez dank avec un Talus qui se suffi à lui-même, un cran sous le Sabro niveau noix de coco. Bouquet tropical rappelant la noix de coco, résineux/pin, fruits à noyaux. Pointe de framboise.
Palais met bien en valeur le caractère du Talus avec des notes fines de noix de coco digne d'un Sabro. Le tout est pris par une petite pointe de pin en fin de bouche avec une onctuosité rappelant l'avoine et un houblonné rappelant un fruité à noyaux type pêche blanche avec un fini oscillant sur un léger fleuri de framboise. Fini plutôt sec avec une pointe de malté/grains.
Super agréable à juste 5.5%.

Ljusgul och kraftigt grumlad vätska med hög gräddig skumkrona. Aromer av gräs och blommor. Överraskande tunn vattnig maltkropp med nedtonad tropisk beska. Smaker av blommor och smör finns där, troligen humlen.

Sample (thanks omhper!). Hazy deep golden colour, small white foamy head. Aroma is floral, fruity, some toffeeish tones with mild herbs and earth. Flavour is fruity, floral, mild nectary and some wooden tones with a wee bit of honey to it.

Can from Systembolaget beställningssortiment. Hazy yellow with a white head. Papaya, mild herbs, elderflower and grass. Medium bitter.

--Canned, from Systembolaget. -- Hazy straw colour, mid sized head. Rich aroma of elderflowers, honeydew and papaya. Mid sweet with light to medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Slender, fruity malt. Guava, honeydew and tropical blossom. Mid bitter finish.
