From tap at Ferdinánd Monarchia Étterem 06.09.24. Clear mahogany. Beige head. Excellent aroma and taste of sweet, medium roasted malta, dates, rasins and mellow hops. Very drinkable! A very good specimen of the style.

500 ml tap. Unclear dark brown with a creamy head. Chocolate, light red and white wine, toffee, citrus, basement notes. Medium dry bitterness, slightly sour, some malty sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, dry malty sour finish. Very nice!

500ml bottle as Franz d’Este Ležák Tmavy. Pours clear dark brown with a medium-sized beige head. Aroma is catching and faint roastiness. Not much aroma at all really. Taste is light sweet, caramel, dark bread. Light bitter finish.

Bottle, tasted in Copenhagen. Malty, slight roastbitter flavor. Hint of apple syrup. Caramel. Malty caramelly aroma. Some grassy hopbitterness in the aftertaste. Well made but not outstanding Czech dunkel.

Bottled at 4.7% ABV. Pours dark ruby to brown with a moderate off-white head. While cold almost no aroma. Just shades of dark malts, distant esters. Medium body. Dense. Taste: toasted malts, dried fruit, brown bread, Saaz hop. Light to medium bitterness. Well-rounded. Nice tmavy.
