Can (10/19/22) pour from The Beer Store. It's an oily, opaque dark brown with light sparkle, 2-finger tan foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma is roasted earthy malt and ginger. Taste is strong ginger over earthy malt, toffee and cinnamon. Syrupy sweet. Mouthfeel is full bodied with thick texture, no alcohol, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, base stout plays second fiddle to the ginger. Thick with no sign of alcohol. A bit cloying.

Aromas are mild dark malt, cocoa, roast and a little ginger. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, ginger comes out more and is very sweet. Basically it's a really sweet dark beer. Not one of TG's better efforts.

Tip Tap draught, 12/30/22. Dark. Undetermined clarity. Tan head sits neatly stop. There's the ginger, not too overdone but strong. Molasses and such-like acidity to follow with sweet cake and chocolate. Not enough roasted character, seems they're using the ginger to balance for the most part. Sweet and syrupy ginger, candy like sweetness with sticky ginger adding bitterness but very little balance aside from that. VERY sugary, sweet, under fermented. Wtf. TG is so inconsistent. This must be their shitty line of stouts. It DOES taste like a ginger snap but who cares what it tastes like when you're absolutely cloyed to death. Gross.

Can/Fest. A- Soy sauce, cocoa. A- Black color, black liquid, no head. T- Teriyaki, ginger, chocolate. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, sweet finish. O- Felt like I was drinking Kikkoman Teriyaki sauce. I didn't hate it but certainly it isn't supposed to taste like this. The brewery rep seemed pretty indifferent.
