13th December 2023 Craft Beer Junction. Xmas bottleshare. Nearly clear dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Soft malts, airy, some dark chocolate. Good rich fruity bourbon. A modest amount of spice. Smooth airy finish. Bit more Impy than barleywine but good.

Bottle at home. Pours deep ruby brown, nose is caramel, toffee, vanilla, little cheesy, taste is juicy berries, caramel, vanilla, toffee, coconut.

Refrigerated 12.7 oz brown bottle poured into a snifter. Opaque dark brown with no head. Aroma is caramel & wood, medium body, low carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is caramel, wood, and leather.

Bottle at home. Dark brown with beige head. Raisins, chocolate, quite a lot of barrel, treacle. Very smooth and elegant.

Sample from 2022 bottle during Blarney Wine Festival 2023 on 03/19/2023. Dark mahogany pour with a medium thin light beige head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Small patches of lace. Caramel malt, bourbon, dark fruit and hops in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, raisin, vanilla and caramel malt. The finish is oaky and boozy with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Good Barley Wine all around.

Bottle. Almost black. Massive bourbon, blackberries, sugary malts, soft chocolate, cognac, maple syrup. Very very sweet, bit boozy bitter. Full bodied. Very sugary but quite tasty.

Flaska från Beerdome, 2022. Mörk brunsvart, nästan svart, med liten beige krona. Typisk Jackie O's-BW. Rejält med fat och bourbon mot en fond av chokladtäckta russin. Inledningsvis främst fat-drivet, men drar nästan lite åt Port-hållet efter ett tag i glaset. Mycket gott.

Poured from 375mL bottle (2022 version). Very dark brown with small light tan head. Chocolate, dark fruit, molasses. feint burnt sugar, rich flavour, very nice.

375mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a tiny beige head. Nos eis decadent, with lots of bourbon barrel complexity, brown sugar, some caramel, and molasses. Flavour is extremely rich, with lots of brown sugar, bourbon barrels, and a touch of molasses. Very rich, on the sweet side but not quite cloying, showcasing the bourbon barrels beautifully. Excellent.
