Can. Buxton online. Nearly black. Slim ring of tan stays the course. Nose has sticking plaster. TCP. Beyond that there’s some chocolate box. Sweet chocolate biscuit malts. Taste is mostly sweet and dark chocolate like. Pretty vinous. Drinks surprisingly easy at the hefty ABV. Slick with soft brisk carbonation. Rich chocolate vinous Islay finish. Well made obvs, just not up my street.

Burk från Systembolaget. Svart med ett brunt skum som försvinner direkt. Doftar torv, rök och läder. Ganska söt, fyllig, mycket rökig korv, rund men ändå rivig. Svarta vinbär, läder, mörk choklad.

Panda at home, thanks to Kenny, 18/11/23. Black with a khaki covering that soon dissipates to nothing. Nose is dark malts, medicinal tones, chocolate, spice, molasses, herb. Taste comprises smoked malts, spice, burnt toffee, charr, chocolate, spice, Islay notes, less medicinal aspects in the taste than the nose, fruit cake mix. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced kiss of alcohol. Decent punchy Islay affair.

Can. Almost clear deep beer, small tan head that is gone in a jiffy. Smooth palate, a very mild dryness, decent fine carbonation. The dark malts are surprisingly not weighty or thick. A little dark chocolate Malteasers and a touch of dark chocolate covered biscuit. Nice fruity soft whiskey that is mercifully, only lightly smoky. Light finish finds all flavours singing harmoniously. Drinks ridiculously easily for the abv and is largely without heat, just a touch of warmth after the swallow.

Can. Very dark brown. A brown head tries to form but fails. 3- Aroma of mocha, blackberries, smouldering seaweed, whisky. Getting towards syrupy, low carbonation. Hot alcohol, burning peat. Sweet with some roast, caramel, berries. But way too much peated whisky for what the beer can take.

Svart med lys brunt skum. Lukter gammelt bål og lær. Fyldig. Smaker røkt kjøtt, torv, whisky og noe kaffe og lakris. Lang.

Svart med ett minimalt skum. Doft av torv, rök, jod och aningens choklad. Torr smak av träkol, torv, jod, och rök. Värmande finish. Som att dricka Laphroaig eller Ardbeg, fast utan brännande spritsmak.
