sprøng is a blend of mature wild ales, aged in oak puncheons (400 and 500L) for around 1,5 up to 3 years, and a barrel fermented and aged saison type of beer, which was dryhopped for a few months with Saaz hops. We’ve added Sicilian sage and also wormwood (artemisia absinthium and another secret variety) to the final blend to macerate a week before bottling. It’s a subtle addition we made compared to sprong, to add a slightly earthiness and spice to it.

Bottle, huge thanks Zhenya for sharing! Hazy yellow-golden body, didn't note the head. Blueberries, sage and rosemary in the fantastic aroma. Smooth taste, blueberries, rosemary, vague wormwood, sweetish, lightly acetic, pleasantly sour. This is just excellent!

A little cloudy orange to light red beer, creamy off-white head, stable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: very very floral, a bit funky, citrus notes, grapefruit, some lavender, a little peppery, some szechuan. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very floral, honey, a little oxidized, earthy, dry, quite some tannins, more flowers. Aftertaste: dry, woody, tannins, meh, ok but not great.

Аромат хорошего дикого эля. Малина прежде всего, немного клубники и смородины красной. Цвет темно малиновый. Вкус тоже в целом классический, дикие дрожжи, немного дерева, ну и конечно малина, и смородина. Хороший баланс всего. Не хватает только скотника от ламбиков.

Poured from bottle @ MBCC 2023 blue session (finally adding my notes). Hazy gold with white head. Wormwood really comes through, backend has gentle funk, very nice.

Tåkete brun med hvitt skum. Lukter fersken, stikkelsbær, sitronmelisse og noe svovel. Tørr og syrlig. Smaker fat, frukter, spesielt eple og noe sitronpepper i avslutningen. God.

Lys brun noe tåkete med hvitt skum. Lukter stikkelsbær, sitronmelisse, solbær, svovel og noe trevirke. Middels fylde. Fruktig og sur. Smaker sitron, fyrstikk, stikkelsbær, frukt eddik, grønt eple og fat. Middels lang.

Bottle. Penistone Tap. Hazed pale copper gold. Beautiful dense lasting semi lacing white foam. Looks grand. Ridiculous nose this. Sweaty bretty leather with fresh picked sage. Woody sappy pine. Clean bright oak barrel. Missus reckons lager and lime and I’m inclined to agree. Taste is semi sweet first off with tartness and bitterness in equal measure. Bright and lightly tart on the palate with fine crisp carbonation. Super lean finish errs toward mineraly and citrusy. Lots happening here. Quality.

Bottle 750ml @ My sister´s place. Pours murky peach with no head. Aroma has notes of malt, funk, tartness, horse blanket, acetone, pepper and some fruitiness. bog myrtle?. Taste is light sweet and medium sour with a long dry, tart, pepper, funky, fruity and bog myrtle finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft to flat. The bottle was opened the day before.
