Cask @ JDW The Crown Rivers, Heathrow. Pours a clear amber, off-white head. Supposed to taste of honey and blackcurrant. It doesn't. Dark caramel vibes, smooth aged malt. So-so.

On cask up the White Lady. Appearance - deep copper with nice solid creamy white head. Nose - plums, toffee and a little cake. Taste - brown bread, spice and burnt raisin. Palate - close to medium bodied, despite just 4 percent. Malt and light hop bitterness on the finish. Overall - great example of the style.

[Gravity dispensed from a cask in the cellar of the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell.] A pale chestnut pour with a scattering of translucent head; malty aroma; nutty malt taste with a light herbal bitterness then a dry floral finish. A proper English bitter, but not particularly regal.

Bottle from House Of Trembling Madness. Clear amber body with an off-white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of wood, brown bread and dumpling. Flavour of earth, raisins and lemon. Thin body with a slick texture. Light fizz. A well balanced bitter.

Not too late for that - still coronation weekend. Brown/amber pour with a white/slightly tan head. Aromas of (stone) fruit, malt, yeast, taste adds some honey/toffee - enjoyed it.

Cask @ Manchester & County, aka Wetherspoon Piccadilly, Manchester. Deeper golden brew with a creamy head. Traditional styled ale with a deep tasting English fruitiness, and hints of spice. A late winter warmer but lacking a punchiness in this respect.
