Tap. Murky ash golden. Sour burned hay, ash. Taste is fruity juicy, fresh, could use a tad more bitterness, to get rid of a slightly sticky aftertaste. Not bad, though.

0,5 l bottle. Golden and slightly cloudy in the glass, no real head. Intensive tart fruity, some bret and wood on the nose. Taste starts with barrel wood, some bret, fruity. Increasing pale grainy in the second part. Dry. No carbonation as expected. Refreshing stuff on this hot summer night.

0.5 l bottle from 'Craftbeershop.com' as 'Buddelship Lost Horizon Farm Foeder Helles' at 5.9% abv, bottled in March 2023. Minimally hazy, golden amber with a thin, slightly fluffy, quickly diminishing, white head. Sourish, slightly sweetish, quite funky and gently vinous-fruity aroma of gooseberry, red wine, overripe lemon and traces of vinegar. Slightly sweet, gently tart, quite funky and rather vinous-fruity taste of grains, overripe lemon, gooseberry, red wine, some oak and light vinegar, followed by a short, gently tart, moderately dry finish. Medium body, gently astringent and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Interesting beer, hardly recognizable as a Helles after three years in that brett infected wine barrel. Quite refreshing.
