Marked batch 005 on the bottle label. Matured in a Glen Moray 1992 cask although this is not detailed on the label.
This edition sees our Imperial Stout aged for several months in specially selected Speyside malt whisky casks. This maturation process results in the whisky flavours and aromas being infused deep into our beer.

Bottel from Magic Dave. Almost black and opague. Dark chocolate aroma, roasted malt, dried fruit and a hint of oak in the aroma. Same in the flavor, but the Speyside malt whisky flavors come up, that were largely unnoticed in the aroma. This type of single malt that coincides very well with the imperial stout and gives added depth to the beer. medium bodied, just a bit alcoholic but an excellent balance. Great beer!

12oz bottle pours an oily brown/black with some clumpy, white head. Nose doesn't have a ton of Speyside, thankfully, malt, sugar, marzipan, chocolate, nutella. Flavor has chocolate, nutes, mild booze, caramel, toffee. The Speyside has thankfully faded out. Finishes medium bodied.

Bottle shared on Level 42 for Cloin's 20K Tasting, 13/09/2017. Paul for this one. A jet black / mahogany brown coloured pour with a loose dark tan, beige head. ARoma is red berries, charcoal, cranberries, mint. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, woody, vanilla, jammy fruit, fruit cake and raisin. Little age. Palate is semi sweet sticky, lowish carboantion, little papery. Decent for the age. 10 years old. Woody finish

Bottle shared in London on cloin's 20k - cheers! Pours clear, deep brown with a small, creamy tan head. Definitely some age in the nose, old wood, dusty cocoa, burnt cardboard. Mediums weet flavour with a lot of oxidation, some alcohol, faint ash. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with soft carbonation. Warming finish, with hints of toasted toffee, more booze, a little vanilla, more strong oxidation. Definitely showing its age.

Bottle split at my 20 KAY tastin, big thanks to the Scopey for this aged numbre, 13/09/17. Rich black with a decent tan cap. Nose is tangy fruit rinds, raisens, spice, light cocoa rub, toffee, light oxidised notes. Taste comprises tangy dark fruits, red berry ripple, spice, chocoalte, mellow whisky barrel, light soy sauce. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising kick of booze. Has held up very well.

Last Bottle of the night at Craigβs - thanks again! Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Aromas of light peat whisky and spice. Taste is roast bitter and boozy. Finishes surprisingly short, but very glad to have tried it.

From a 33 cl bottle shared in Avon NC. Marked 005 06/06/09 on the bottle. Pours a deep cola brown with a scant head. Aroma of oak and whiskey. Flavors also include chocolate and licorice and a hint of leather. Quite complex. Low carbonation. Slight bitter finish. A complex and tasty brew.

Bottle from Charleston Beer Exchange. it pours black with a medium tan head. The nose is sweet vanilla, fudge, toffee, coffee, wood, light oxidised notes, toast, cocoa powder and earth. The taste is roasted malt, toast, sweet coffee, vanilla, toffee, some acidity, fudge, mild activity, earth, light alcohol warmth and decent bitterness with a dry, roasty finish. Medium-full body, fine carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Smooth and big wood character, yet quite mellow. Has agred rather gracefully.
