Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Clapton Craft. Pours mostly clear deep amber-gold with a foamy, off-white head. Light sweet flavour with rich toasted malts, grain, earthy-leafy hops. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Finishes with further toasted grains, burnt toffee, earth, dirty hay. Sound.

440ml can - Pours a lightly hazed amber colour with a small, mostly lasting, frothy beige head. The aroma is malty, caramel, light rye with earthy and spicey hop notes. A moderately sweet taste, sweet malt, caramel, rye and nutty flavours with a moderate spicy and bitter hop finish.

Pours fairly clear amber. Small creamy, stable white head. Scent is less caramelly, malty or crisper than their other versions, bit sharp and rough. Not a very typical bitter to me, even. Taste is full, caramel, doughy. Sharper bitterness, not as caramelly or malty as I'd like.

44cl can, partagée avec Kevin au Thronefest Kuurne.
BB 09/12/2023.

Can from Utobeer, Borough. Aroma combines berries with malts and rye. Opaque chestnut brown. Thin foamy white head recedes abruptly. Medium bitter rye alongside a berry sour edge. Underlying caramel, moreso into the finish. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long somewhat dry and astringent finish. I like. Marketed as a Best but more of an ESB for me. US hops and rye work.
