Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Strong rum barrel aroma with raisins, sweet malt, caramel, figs, dried fruits, candy sugar, toffee, candied fruits, and alcohol. Flavour is quite sweet with a little bitterness in the sweet boozy finish. Body is full with a sticky texture. Nice entry in a hit-and-miss 18 series, rum barrel aging yields some pleasant flavours and there's no unwelcome off-flavours. On the sweet side, but I like this one.

33cl can, BB 07/2021.

Can. Light haze on this amber beer, small cream colour head. Smooth palate, pretty light, reasonable fine carbonation. Unsurprisingly, fairly similar to 18.15 and also unsurprisingly sweeter. Smooth malts, a light creamy sweetness. Smooth toffee, much less bitter than 18.15. Fruity toffee and a little fruity liqueur. Again, not that rummy. Again, smooth and pretty durn drinkable.

T: rich malty base, chocolate, rum warming alcohol, bit cocoa, dried figs, orange, vanilla, bit nutty, woody, quite sweet yet still very nice, lower carbonation, enjoyed for sure.

Can. Dark brown color, oak, rum and honey in the aroma. Malty sweet, boozy flavor with rum, soft herbal notes, abundant honey and oak. Full bodied, too sweet for me, the honey wasn’t necessary.
