A deep dark stout with a thick frothy lacing brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, light peat, light acidic notes, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, light acidic notes, light peat, still solid after more than 9 years.

This was my favorite of the Nekron family, courtesy of CaptainCougar. Almost black, nice brown head. Aroma of cocoa, milk chocolate. Taste has lots of roasted malts, like a burnt ovaltine. Nice.

500 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård. ABV is 6.5% - unless there is a typo on the rear bottle label (brewery website says 8.5%). Pitch black colour, big brown head. Fine aroma of tar and strong coffee, also hints of smoke, salt water and liquorice. The flavour is smoky and salty with notes of tar and strong bitter coffee. Also bitter hops in the finish. Quite dry. Good stuff, but I’d like a little more sweetness.
