33cl Bottle from Drinks & Gifts. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of sweet malts, pumpernickel, liquorice jerk. Flavour is sweet, malty, pumpernickel, liquorice jerk, hint of roast, light bitterness, a bit earthy. Light bodied for such a big beer, lacks depth as well. Disappointment.

Tap @ Sheffield Tap, Sheffield. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich licorice, roast malt, chocolate, hops and has a nice bitter finish.

Tap @ Sheffield Tap, Sheffield. Black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, licorice and dark fruit. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish with a little warming alcohol. Oily. 171018

Draught @ De Molen Brouwcafé during pre Borefts 2018 brewers dinner. Almost black color. Dense beige head with some lacing. Aroma's: roasty, red fruit. Retronasal: red fruit, light sweet. Flavor: moderate sweet, fruity. Medium bodied. Finishes slightly dry, moderate bitter.

Borefts 2018. Day 1. Thank you for sharing! Sampled draft. Black, syrup, nice lacing. Heavy black liquorice in the nose, umami, sticky sweet syrup, bit too umami. Taste is less umami, bit oddly neutral with sticky black liquorice & black chocolate. Fair but odd neutral, sweet, dash umami, sticky body.

7 3 8 3 16Draft at Borefts Beer Festival ‘18. Black with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, dark malts and toffee. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Tap. Black color with beige head. Aroma is. Taste is chocolate, a bit fruity, prunes, berries. Oily mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Not too great, but interesting.

Clear dark purple brown beer, small creamy beige head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: malty, grains, hay, sweet, some chocolate, roasted touch. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, alcohol, roasted, bitter, chocolate, coffee, little sour, acidic, malty. Aftertaste: malts, grains, hay, caramel, some chocolate.
