This traditional lager is medium in body with a deep roasted character. Its dark color and rich malty flavor come from specially roasted caramel and chocolate malts. This brew is lightly hopped with Noble Bavarian hops for a soft spiciness and a smooth clean finish. Cheers!

Flaska från SB. Svartbrun vätska, typiskt för en schwarzbier. Mycket kakao i doften med inslag av kaffe. Det hela avrundas med en antydan av bränt däckgummi. Torr besk inledning som sedan ersätts med lite väl hög sötma. Lämnar inte så värst mycket avtryck. En ok mörk lager.

The appearance had a black body, slightly beige highlights the edges of the white foamy head that quickly fades.
The smell had a slight coffee, subdued chocolate and cola.
The taste was mildly sweet.
The palate sat about a medium, slightly sessionable, smooth aftertaste and finish.
Overall, good for the style and good for me.

Aroma af karamel. Ristet malt, karamel. Klar, mørkerød. Medium fylde, fint i forhold til smag. Cremet carb og skum. En smule bitterhed og syre mod slutningen.

Bottle. A- Coffee, roasted, doughy, licorice. A- Dark brown/black, dark liquid, minimal head. T- Molasses tones, medium bitterness, hints of coffee. P- Full body, average texture, soft carbonation, bitter finish. O- Malty and complex. Not my favorite black lager by a long shot.

Sort med lye brunt skum. lukter sjokkolade med er ganske beskjeden i lukten. Rund smak, fløte - vanilje. Ettersmaken ble fort borte.

Smak och doft av humle, malt, torkad frukt med toner av choklad, russin och laktris. Frisk, lagom söt, porterkänsla med rostade toner. Fin beska.

Bottle @ benzai. Black with a small off-white head. Smells roasty, coal, smoked. Tastes liquorice, iron, sweetish. Medium body, soft to medium carbo.

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Opaque pitch black color, small beige head. Smell malts, dark malts, some roastyness, lightly smoked and earthy. Taste malts, lightly iron, earth, dark malts, some roastyness, a touch of liquorice and some sweet-bitter finish. Not bad at all, quite nice indeed. Medium body and carbonation.
