Blend of 1 & 2 year old lambics with maceration of peach & nectarine from Veneto, Italy.

The fruit used consists of five different varieties, including two white peaches, two yellow peaches and one nectarine. These were hand-picked from orchards in Italy and brought straight from the grower.

Each variety is blended separately with lambic to then macerate for several months, then co-blended and barrel-aged further after maceration.

The beautiful stonefruit perfume is carried by a firm mouthfeel and decent acidity. Lots of wood and fruit character!

Fermented, aged & bottled on the farm.

Flaska från Beergium. Gyllengul disig vätska. Tydlig doft och smak av aprikos. Lite syrligt aprikosgodis och mörka torkade aprikoser som gifter sig fint med lambicen. Mycket gott

--Bottled. -- Hazy golden, small head. Citric nose with lots of peach and nectarine, mild horseblanket. Tart with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Balanced citric acid, hints of horsblanket and just loads of nectarine. Mildly bitter finish. Modern style lambic with all focus on the flavouring.

Fruit lambic by the Boerenerf crew, combining the three main types of peach, namely white peach, yellow peach and nectarine. Hisses with opening but if opened carefully, not a gusher. Egg-white, moussy, loosely structured head, instantly dissolving into nothing over a cloudy ochre-tinged warm apricot blonde robe. Aroma of pickled peaches, unripe nectarine, lemon, white grape, green plum, wet wood, apple peel, raw radish, raspberry vinegar, urine-like Brett note, kimchi, unripe granadilla, grass, lime juice, gherkin. Sharply fruit-acidic onset, the acidity reinforced by the lactic acid; lots of peach and nectarine flavours for sure, even sweetly so, but this sweetness is completely engulfed in a kimchi-, lime- and lemon-like sourness with strongly puckering effect; lively carb, supple bready core under lactic and fruit sourness, remaining very strong, as well as much milder woody tannins and ‘funky’ Brett effects (urine, horseblanket). Still, the sheer colourfulness of the fruit remains the dominant factor, providing a continuous juicy ‘stonefruitiness’ and ripe fruit sweetness piercing through the overall acidity. Radiant and crisp peach lambic, but quite ‘neig’ as they say – a less sharply acidic overall profile could make this one a lot more palatable. Lovely and generous aroma, though – you got to love that as a ‘lambicophile’.

750ml bottle @Beershoppe (Rome). Gialla acida, intensa, mediamente torbida, schiuma bianca medio-leggera. Al naso note di pesche e frutta a polpa gialla, citrico, stalla. In bocca è acida decisa, fruttata, citrica, Tart. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Buona, ma quella punta citrica la rende meno elegante e più tagliente, compromettendo la beva.

Small white rim over hazy peach-tinted golden beer. Peach, celeriac, almost soupy, earthy, bit floral. Rubbery (as an eraser), lemony; lots of lactic acid, very sour. Again earthy characteristics, tubers. Serious acidthinning and -burn, lipsmacking acidity, ultra tart. Good carbonation. This one definitely shows an acidoverdose. If you have to drink this a whole evening, you need a new oesophagus. I'm sure Americans and Scandinavians will adore this.
