Craft Beer Junction bottleshare. Thanks to Dan the Man. Clear orange amber beer, good pale tan head. Airy and semi dry palate, decent fine carbonation. Nice ripe fruity vibe, more crystallised fruits really. Some phenols on the back end. Light dry finish. Quite approachable but couldn't drink a pint.

0.75 l bottle from 'Mr. Hop', best before May 2026. Clear, ruby with a medium large, frothy, stable, beige head. Sweetish, sourish, rather vinous-fruity aroma of red wine, balsamic vinegar, bitter almond, oak and redcurrant. Gently sweet, moderately sour, rather vinous-fruity taste of balsamic vinegar, red wine, oak, redcurrant, bitter almond, some vanilla and light caramel, followed by a medium long, gently tart, moderately dry, woody finish. Almost medium-bodied, very smooth, gently astringent and quite effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Haven't had the regular Grand Cru for ages but I don't remember it to be that mellow and smooth. Absolutely delicious, super refreshing and complex, not harsh or overly astringent as well. Lovely.

750 ml corked & caged bottle, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 6.0%. Deep reddish brown colour, large off-white head. Interesting aroma, notes of dark fruits, red wine, oak and balsamic vinegar. Medium sour flavour with the same elements. Hardly any bitterness.

Pours dark, redbrown. Medium sized, creamy white head. Scent is full, oaky, bit Velpon. Doesn't show the great age. Taste is rubbery, wood, astrigent, mild Velpon, tad red fruityness. Drying, tannins. Very complex and outspoken. Not the most balanced of Rodenbachs, but enjoyable and I applaud the drive to experiment. Although better information would be appreciated. Is this rodenbach GC blended and than aged 10 years ? is it the regular GC blend - consisting of 66 % aged beer - where the aged part is full on 10 years aged, or only partly? or is it a different ratio?

The person representing the brewery on the very release of this beer didn't know, which is a bit of a bummer to me.
