The Bokrijks is a blonde and strong local beer of high fermentation of Brouwerij Sterkens. This blonde, with a nice white head, has a strong fruity aroma and a subtle, mild malty flavor. This refreshing beer has a slightly bitter aftertaste and is brewed with unique ingredients to create the best possible balance between bitter and sweet.

"Monsters Edition" enjoyed in Hill Farmsted Stemware at room temperature.
A - Cloudy straw gold, lots of carbonation gushing out of the bottle
S - Bready and honey smell. Not much else
T - Oak and honey at the start. Bready notes and some nuttiness like walnuts. Hints of spices and some herbs. Sweet finish
M - Lots of carbonation, medium body. Bland finish
O - It’s an alright beer. Nothing spectacular.

Bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a mild, white head. Notes of malt, caramel and spices in the nose. Flavor is sweet with more caramel, along with some yeast and light spices. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Finishes sweet with some more maltiness. Decent.

Picked up a bottle from Mint in Tarrytown while walking home. Pours a dirty yellow with a dish soap 2 finger head that quickly dissapates. Tastes is of wheat, bannana, a little clove and some doughyness. Overall not bad but not totally exciting but fine way to kick off memorial day weekend.

Bottle @ ’t Pothuiske. Hazy golden colour, thick white head. Aroma of yeast, malts, spices, hops. Flavour is yeasty, dry, citrus, spicy and hoppy, a little sour. Nice dry mouthfeel and finish, also slightly bitter. Medium to fullbodied. A really good blond ale IMO, reminded me of Witkap Stimulo.

Bottle at the Angry Fist of Santa tasting at Chris_o’s. No idea where this came from. Cloudy pale gold, thin white head. It’s an ok Belgian blonde, no real depth of character.

Bottled. Hazy yellow colour, mediumsized white creamy head. Aroma is sweet malts, honey, fruits and slight notes of yeast. Flavour is caramel and fruits along with slight spices and yeast. When it warms up it gets some slightly glueish alcoholnotes in the flavour.
