33cl bottle brought back from Iceland by a friend, thanks Victoria. Poured into a Chimay chalice at home on 18th April 2018. Slight haze to the golden body, weak and thin white topping. Aroma was a little herbal, a little bread roll soaked in citrus juice. Taste had a citrus leaning with a herbal twist and some light maltiness for sweetness. Hoped it was going to be a bit more exciting to be honest.

Il gusto al naso finisce sull'orzo. L'intensità olfattiva è elevata e la persistenza olfattiva è apprezzabile. Il cappello di schiuma ha una discreta resistenza. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. La carbonazione è nella norma. La consistenza del liquido è limpida. Il perlage è composto da bollicine medio-fini. La carbonazione è abbondante e frizzante. Il colore è giallo dorato. Il corpo è rotondo. Il dolce è medio e l'amaro è medio: non si surclassano. L'intensità gustativa è normale e la persistenza gustativa è sufficiente. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali sono di birra beverina. Il finale è dissetante e semplice. Il retrogusto è di media intensità. L'aroma in bocca riporta sentori di biscotto e cereali.

Florals and some thyme. A bit of a moss like aroma like the lava rocjs in the island’s south. Hazy golden pour with decent head. Lighr sweet finish. Decent. Tap at microbar.

Good clarity in this brassy-to-light cola-tinged amber body. Beige head fades quickly to cover. Some light sediment left behind in the bottle; that’s encouraging.
Light pepper and rosemary-like notes in the nose are quite enjoyable. I think it’s what, ginger and an herb from Iceland? The malt in the background adds light honey, brown bread and all-around sweetness but doesn’t go too far, nor does the herbal character overpower. Clean, though with some astringency and strong grassiness and, perhaps, a hint of soapiness. No alcohol or brewing flaw, though.
Spicy, but with ample amber malt-like character adding honey-bread and light vanilla sweetness to easily balance the spice. There’s a bit too much spicy, lightly astringent herbal character, very grassy and lightly bitter, but for how fresh this is, it’s sufficiently balanced, while the natural carbonation, unfiltered, malty mouthfeel and lack of flaw go a long way towards making up for any slight abundance of spicing.

Bottled. Yellowish golden colour, with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is mildly metallic, but also has fresh citrus, lemongrass and some herbal notes. Flavour is slightly tart, mild spices, some citrus as well as some funky notes. Not sure if this was ok, but felt like a witbier with some brewing flaws to it.

A pale blonde ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, fruity esters, OK. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity biscuit malt with light mineral notes, light grassy hops, pleasant and refreshing. On tap at Skuli Bar.
