Xmas miracle 2022 bottle shared at "Johnny's got a new place" beer celebration. Opaque jet black color, small brown colored head. Aroma and flavor are malts, sweetish, light cocos / coconut, quite boozy, yet solidly drinkable.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, cocoa, vanilla, cinnamon and alcohol. Taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long warm, roasted, chocolate, cocoa and christmas spiced finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Can, from Broadway Dive Bar, Manhattan. Pours inky black with a very small frothy tan head that disappears fast, sweetish rum aroma, low carbonation, initially sweet coffee-woodsy liquor taste that turns bitter soon, thin body, long bitter woodsy liquor finish. Strong brew.

16 oz. can, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out some Xmas spices, medium roast, and some earthy toasted malt. Flavour is very roasted, with lots of roasted malt, Xmas spices (nutmeg mostly), dry cocoa, and finishing dry, roasty and earthy. This is the kind of spiced stout I can get behind—retains the roast and isn't too sweet. Excellent.

Pint Can. Black pour with a small brown head that soon fades to a fine ring. The aroma is medium in strength with chocolates, coffee and spices. The taste is more coffee, chocolates, deftly applied spices and something that tastes to me like sour plums. The palate is full and viscous with soft carbonation. Finishes long and slightly sweet. Overall: Decent--very take on the impy stout and I like it. Paired nicely with some Reggiano.
