Can at home. Black pour with a handsome beige head. This beer might not be about complexity, but it doesnt need to be either. It’s full-on chocolate, with hints of coffee, nuts, dark sugars and dried fruit. And lots and lots of peat. It really is peaty but it also works well as a whole so it’s aight. The body is thick and somewhat creamy, with a soft carbonation. Tasty.

0.33l can. Pitch black body with a thin brown head. The name of the beer doesn't fool you. It shows tons of peaty notes, brutal, really. At the same time there are some chocolate, nutmeg, lactose and floral hops notes to it to smooth it out. My wife said it's a Schlenkerla brewed as a stout with the smokyness turned up to 11. I agree. It's nice, but heavy too.

Can, tasting at Ryan's; Oct 2021, 1.5 years old
Black colour. Aroma of peat, petrol. Good body, moderate residual sweetness; peat, dung, a lot of tar, and some roasted malt and ashes in the finish; warming alcohol.
Fun beer, not an elegance champion though.

330ml @ Ryan's. Appearance: dark brown with a nice beige head. Aroma: peat LOADED, mazut, sweet, very smoky. Taste: along the same lines, super peaty, I felt like I was drinking ink. Overall: peaty as hell. Do NOT get it if you don't like peat.

Dark brown. Just a thin head. On the nose, all sorts of peat smoke. Islay in Polska! On the palate, more peat smoke. This is the beer equivalent of Smokehead. A little chocolate and toffee but that's not really sufficient base to cover this smokey peat bomb. So it's definitely unbalanced.

Poured from 330mL can (pkg 26.10.2021). Near black with small light beige head. Iodine, tons of smoked peat, simple, not a lot of other layers, but decently done for a relatively one note beer.

330ml can. Jet black colour with small to average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, tan head. intense, peaty, smoky, slightly caramel and dark malty aroma, notes of peat, leather, caramel, a touch of toffee. Taste is sweet-ish and roasty dark malty, peaty and caramel malty, notes of peat, leather, coffee, caramel, some roasty bitterness, a minimally warming, alcoholic touch. Oily to viscous texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine, soft carbonation. Rich and intense, not overdone - very good.

Can. Color: Black, brown head. Aroma Peaty, vanoffee, roasted malt. Taste: Very peaty, almost a little burning in your throat. Notes of coffee and roasted malt, dark chocolate and charcoal. Over moderate to medium sweet. Very dense mouthfeel, dry-ish and very creamy. Over moderate bitterness. Bit boozy. Full body, below average carbonation. Ok.
