A full on IPA. A bit like head-butting a fruit bowl. Massive flavours of peach, melon and citrus.

Can from Asda @ 5.9%. Laine are certainly getting their beers into supermarkets recently, Lidl, Tesco and now Asda. Light hazed golden brown with decent fluffy white head. Citrus, marzipan, grapefruit, dusty-floral aroma. Taste of citrus peel, big grapefruit note, pine, resin. Medium bodied, slick, semi-drying close. Laine seem to be a brewery that are going craft but seem several years behind the curve. Here they've created a West Coast IPA that's pretty decent. Nothing madly exciting but I enjoyed it.

5.9% - Golden colour with thin head. Touch of background caramel sweetness and then some subtle stone fruit notes. Fairly light bitterness.

440ml can from Asda @ 5.9%. Pale amber in colour, with a frothy, off-white, head. Aroma of citrus hop and caramel. Flavours of tangerines, red berries, with some earthy maltiness, more sweetness, leading to a dryish finish. Good.

Can from ASDA Supermarket, Manchester. Golden with a head. Has a lovely soft texture given its strength. Resin and pine are abundant, but it doesn't make for an excitingly flavoursome brew, but the mouthfeel is good. Citrus is evident in its nose.

Keg at Four Thieves. It pours clear copper with a medium white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, quite bright, juicy, oily orange, tangerine and hints of mango. The taste is soft, sweet, crisp, dry, tangerine, orange, pithy, zesty, peppery spice and some oiliness with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. I don’t think it would stand out in a crowd, but its OK.

Can. Almost clear gold beer, small cream colour head. Smooth palate, slightly soft but has reasonable fine carbonation. Fluffy malts, medium sweet. Tangy mid, light hop spice lingers underneath. Tangy citrus, slightly metallic. Light semi dry finish brings modest bitterness. Not bad.
