Bottle thanks to Brian. I was looking forward to this as I like Southern Tier's take on the pastry stout. Pours clear hazel, small beige head, decent lacing. Aroma is HUGE cinnamon, oddly icing - really strong notes of Cinnabon sugary icing. This really does last like a fucken' cinnamon roll. Flavor is big time sweet, light bitter. Medium body. Pretty much the definition of a pastry beer. Its not gross, but its so over the top that its hard to imagine it scoring so well.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a deep opaque brown body and a smooth, thinnish single to perhaps two centimetre tall light brown head. Aroma of pure canella with a good dose of roasted malt with a big hit of prunes and plums and a bigger hit from the spices with a bit of nutmeg coming through, but almost all canella here, as expected. Full-bodied; Rich canella flavour with a big dose of malt and earthiness and a smooth oatmeal body along with some mushroom and musty flavours and finishing with a slight bit of bitterness from all the malts. Aftertaste shows some malts, a heavy bit of canella and nutmeg and ending with a touch of alcohol, some grain and a touch of brown sugars and caramelised toffee. Overall, a nice, if not simplistic beer full of malt, alcohol, earth and a ton of canella all over the place, as expected. Nice to sample, and even if you love cinnamon, which I do, this is just 'good', but nothing really to go out of your way for or make it a point to try. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from K-1 Beer and Wine in Arlington, Virginia on 07-November-2017 for US$8,99 sampled at home on the Eastern Shore of Virginia in Pungoteague, Virginia on 26-January-2018.

12 oz bottle thanks to TJ. Clear brown in color, fast dying head that leaves nothing in the wake. Aroma is indeed what they say, cinnamon roll from any commercial shopping mall. It smells nice. But the flavor is nothing but cinnamon. Seriously, can't even taste anything other than spice. Meh.

Hard to fault a beer for tasting exactly like what the label says, but equally as hard to laud a beer as over-spiced and cloyingly sweet as this one. Tons of cinnamon and lactose, overwhelming in their nonstop sweetness, underlined by caramel and boozy heat. Subtle as a sledgehammer to the groin. Hard pass.
