Bottle. A slightly hazy, yellow-golden beer, gushing out of the bottle, and leaving a dense, white head. Tea, spices, pale malt and citrus in the aroma, which is good, but maybe a bit weak for a beer this potent. The flavor is more interesting, with orange, sugars and spices, quite fruity and sweet. The orange-flavor is reminding of the white stuff between the peel and the fruit meat. It could also use a fuller body. A nice Belgian ale, easy to drink, and pleasant, but not world class. (071123)

Bottled. Yellow, hazy, colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is fruity, malty and slightly hoppy. Flavour is toffee, fruits, some slight alcohol and spicyness. A pleasant and very wellbalanced brew.

Bottle at Chris_o Shindig. Haze pale gold, lasting white head. Strong Belgian yeast aroma. It’s pretty standard in the strong Belgian ale style, which I like, but it’s not terrific.

2010 rating: Hazy dark straw. Some jammy esters on the nose, along with appley notes. Soft fruits like pears, blueberries, and peach, none too assertive. The malts and mild alcohol are both understated. 6-3-6-3-12 = 3.0

2007 rating: Golden colour, quick-falling head. Hmmm...protein chunks. Estery, performey aroma with light peppery alcohol. A bit thin with a spicy note (coriander, alcohol) and some barely developed pale malts. Meh. There are so many similar beers that are executed with greater craftsmanship and passion. 6-2-6-3-12 = 2.9

Hazy golden ale with a thick creamy white head.A light soapy malt aroma, with light coriander and parsley. In mouth, a nice bubble gum malt, creamy mouthfeel, with crisp hops, and light tingling in mouth. Medium bodied. Brought from Bieropholie, late 2005. BB 15/06/06.

A hazy orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet spicy - which pretty much is how the flavor is too, with a dry end. Average Belgian Ale.
