LCRBM2. Good mik acid nose. Cloudy amber, blanket head. Hayish and fruity notes. Not really sour in the flavor. Sparkly mouthfeel. Hides its strength well.

Bottled at RBESG2006 - Thx KnutAlbert. Hazy, copper-colored, with a dense, beige diminishing head. The aroma is like when grinding metal, with some fruityness, peat, citrus, cob-webs, mould and wet forest. Not too pleasant, but not bad at all. The metal-grinding and mould is in the flavor as well, along with alcohol and grape-peel bitterness. Medium body and a finish with alcohol and some drying bitterness. (060825)

Hazy, orange to brown body. Aroma of wood, paint, white spirit, ... Moderately bitter, lightly sweet initial flavour. Lightly bitter, lightly sweet finish. Very strange flavour, this one is like an astringent bomb, attacking your mouth with some unpleasant flavours. The balance is quite good, but this astringentness is not so welcome.

LCRBM2. Not sure what this is supposed to be. Woody aroma and flavour. But some reddish fruit odd flavours in mouth. Bit of woody plum. Dry finish. But overall "ugh."

(75 cl bottle: RBESG 2006: Thanks to Knut Albert) Shady orange color, small tan head. Sour, sticky, some cherry seed bitter almond, a bit of alcohol, scent. Mellow mouth feel. Small taste compared to the scent, a little bit sour taste. Medium bitterness, rather dry after taste and "after" mouth feel.

Hazy foxy-ornage; whitish small head. Either paint stripper, either woodstainer; exceedingly sharp, vinous and oppressive nose. Sweet, followed by chemical ketones, aldehydes. It does not taste like beer, not as wine either. Burning. Medium bodied. If stomachulcers are caused by bugs, I don’t have ulcers any longer. However, I don’t think I’ve stomach lining left.

Bottle, RBESG 2006. Hazy brownish amber colour. Made with 5% grape juice (and fermented with wine yeast?) Vinegary aroma with strange notes of horsepiss and rotting garbage. Woody and funky flavour where the grape juice barely shines through, without the necessary freshness. If I want a sour beer, I’d rather have a gueuze, thank you.

Bottled. Hazy nutbrown colour, small off-white head. Aroma is twisted, sour fruit, rubber and a bit barnyard. Not too pleasant. Flavour is surprisingly smooth, but quite nothing-saying. Weak sour fruits are in there, but that’s about it. Good, but feels quite boring compared to the two other Panil Barriquée’s KnutAlbert brought to RBESG 06.

(Bottle 75 cl) Hazy amber with a small, off-white head. Lightly tart, vinous nose. Medium body with sweet, fruity accents. Somewhat earthy notes, but not unpleasantly so. No bitterness. Rustic and very original with its 5% added grape juice. 250806
