Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is grains, bready elements as well as some herbal tones. Flavour is herbal, grassy, some grainy and bready notes with mild toffee to it. Not the freshest shape, but far from bad.

Sold as Zhiguljevskoje for a German importer, with only the Stapan Razin trade mark on the label, but it should be the same beer. Only a hint of sweet apples in the aroma. Sweet apple flavor, otherwise bland and virtually no hops. Slight glue aftertaste. Beer that makes you sad.

500ml bottle. Pours clear gold with a medium-sized white head that disappears after about 10 seconds. Aroma is malt, grain, yeast. Taste is slightly sweet and malty, low bitter finish. Bland but drinkable lager. I’m sure I had this beer back in 2009, weird how it disappeared from the shops, I guess they must have stopped shipping it to Moscow, because I found this bottle in south eastern Russia.

50 cl bottle @ Restaurant Šašlik, Helsinki. Bottled 06.03.2014, BBE 06.12.2014
as ”Степан Разин Петровское”
Aroma is fresh with grass, grain, some buttery tones and distant metallic notes. Flavour has some butter, grainy tones and hints of grass. Dry finish. Refreshing and easy-going, better than I expected. Pairs fine with Vorschmack.

500ml can, as Stepan Razin Petrovskoe 1795, 4.9% abv, kindly shared by Elisabeth. Next-to-clear, straw coloured body, Low, white head. Fragile lacing. Smell of sweet and dry, pale malts. Herbal hops and malts in flavour added a kind of candy sweetness. Papery dry palate. Minimal carbonation. Rather bland impression. Below par for the style (session in Tromsø, 19.06.2012).

Pale golden with a dense head. Aroma has some dusty hops and some butter. Flavour is quite short and has more hops and butter. It all ands on a watery note.

Very light, earthy, metallic taste. Golden. Quick finish, almost no aroma. Yikes - that’s one fast brew.
