Our Bavarian-style Weissbier shows a wonderful balance of banana, clove, bubblegum & toasted wheat, with effervescent malt sweetness giving way to a refreshing finish. Classically step-mashed, open-fermented & naturally carbonated.

Quite hazy golden and light peach coloured body with a glowing orange tint, all with a nice and supportive two to three centimetre tall off-white head that stays afloat for a while. Aroma of light wheat, yeast, curacao, full oranges, a dash of hay and grass with a good deal of bubblegum and clove notes towards the end which makes the smell much more complex. Light to Medium-bodied; Pungent wheat and malt characteristic with a lot of bananas throughout and a good deal of the spice/coriander seed freshness component, showing some moderate sweetness and a good deal of sweetness on the finish. Aftertaste is rich and strong with a lot of wheat and curacao/full orange notes throughout that has a good and noticeable level of sweetness coupled on top of the light spice components, all with the easy-drinking profile of the wheat and yeast. Overall, a nice and strong German unfiltered wheat with a lot of character and an easy-drinking profile with some complex and 'German' nuances from the yeast strain - quite nice and great for the warmer season here in Washington. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, given to me by the GM of the brewery after a hockey game in Arlington (Ballston) in August 2019 - Thanks Erik!

On tap at The Arsenal, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out bubblegum, clove and banana in typical hef fashion. Flavour is quite spicy on the clove upfront, with bubblegum and banana further back. It's well-made - I just don't like the style.
