Golden-amber. Malty, lightly caramelly and maybe a bit metallic. Fresh-tasting, slightly biscuity and nice hops. Great balance.

Draught at the brewpub. Bronze colour, fair sized head. Light cellar aroma. Quite dry with medium body and pleasantly rounded mouthfeel. Light grassy hops upon the mild doughy malt, notes of minerals. Balanced and drinkable.

Draught at the brewpub as Thomann dunkles Lager. Lagery aroma. Clear dark amber colour. Stable off-white head. The flavour starts off a little spicy, from the hops, I suppose. Then comes a distinct nutty flavour, well-known from British ales.

On draught at the brewery: Dark brown; a rich malty aroma (roasted malts, liquorice) dominates the taste; quite full bodied, low carbonated; hops and (roasted) malts in the finish. Very good "franconian" Dunkel !
