8/05/2011 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 3/2013 (2011-197)

Pretty cloudy amber to copper red beer, white creamy head, stable and adhesive. Aroma: raspberries, yogurt, grenadine syrup. MF: ok carbon, light to medium body. Taste: a sour touch up front, then fruity, a bit sweet but not much, then bitter. Aftertaste: citric touch. If I were to taste this blind, I don't think I would get the raspberries from the flavour.

bottle from beer planet clear red, smooth light pink head. sweet but also citrussy raspberry aroma, also some malts, and some berry dryness. flavor is raspberry, bitter beer, red fruity. ends pretty bitter. some of the bitterness is probably alc.

[3/6/11] Draught at ZBF 2011. Hazy reddish amber. Aroma of fruits (a bit of raspberry), some yeast and a tiny bit of alcohol. Sweetish-sourish flavor with a bit of artificial raspberry and a drier finish. Medium-bodied.

Ooh la la, a pop stopper! Pours bright red-pink with plenty of head, aroma of perfume of strawberries rather than a syrup - but is that a good thing? Taste is a dry, cough-syrup-like rendition of what fruit beer might be if it was meant to be not refreshing, overwrought, and downright foul. Extremely dry finish, I’ll give it that, but this brew is neither refreshing, tasty, or complex - it just exists as a textbook example of how not to incorporate raspberries into a fruit beer. Bon Secours needs to go back to the recipe books and look at how they approach this whole fruit beer thing from the start.

Bottled (33 cl) from a Belgian supermarket. Initial strong raspberry flavour, which quickly fades away and pretty much vanishes. Quite sour. Lingering bitterness. Not very pleasant overall.

Lively out of the bottle but quickly loses fizz. Oaky, musty aroma comes through in the flavour too. Some raspberry sweetness comes through too. A tad too sour though.

Bottle from Dranken Geers. Cloudy red/brown/gold, thick creamy pink head. Lovely raspberry ripple ice cream aroma. Some decent fruit. Very creamy. But also a bit watery on end too. Not my favourite beer. Alcohol is a bit obvious. Fruit is a bit creamy, some sourness on end. Not great.

On tap. I had to get used to this one. It’s an out of the ordinary fruitbeer. Cloudy pink colour, pink head. Aroma of raspberries. Flavour is sweet at first, raspberries and sugar, but becomes dry and bitter very fast, with a bit tart. Bitterness lasts.

33cl bottle. Color is apricot/rosée with a light pink head. Aroma filled with raspberries, sugary and floral / malt. Taste is again of raspeberries with notes of hops and wheat. At first, it is filled with raspberry juice followed by grains/ wheat presence. Carbonation giveth eber a good fizzy form. Not a bad beer, and it is nice to see that they are using actual juice insted of extract.
