Punchy intense antipodean hoppy bringing loads of vibrant fruity notes of white grape, pine., melon, grassy and floral hoppy accents in play, oat laden soft pillowy malty support, assertive balanced piney bitter hoppy into the close. Top drawer.

Pours murky gold into a tulip. White micro head with excellent retention recedes leaving trailing sheets. Pineapple, melon and tangerine aromas. Soft with sweet melon and papaya upfront turning to mild tangerine pith in the medium length finish,

Canned 1/5/23, drunk 1/31/23. Heavily hazy/turbid. Bronze-brass-golden. Massive, white head, strong retention. All the sulfur and heavy mineral/earth you'd expect from this hop with light white wine and some passion fruit. Bread, biscuit and honey from the malt with some bubble gummy yeast. Interesting to me that Spyglass persists in using a bubblegummy yeast when everyone else has abandoned it. Clean, no alcohol or resin. Juicy, round, malty, well-attenuated. Earthy, with some melon, mango, random other tropical fruits and almost a bubble gum and banana sort of thing. Simple, white bread sugary sweetness from the malt. Excessively low bitterness. Like, almost none. Earth, mineral, juice, white wine. But come on, you've got to bitter the IPAs, even if it's a NE style one. This is just ridiculous. It's so promising, and then it just gets carried away in melon, table sugar and punchy-sweet clementine. It would have taken so little hop bitterness to balance this, but they didnt even do it. Dumped it after a few sips.

Can (3/29/22) pour from Beer and Wine Nation. It's an opaque yellow with nice sparkle, 2-finger width off-white foamy head with fair retention and light rings of lacing. Aroma is strong lemon, guava, candied orange and late grapefruit. Taste is strong orange and grapefruit over lemon and guava. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation and crisp finish as taste. Overall, nice strength and decent complexity.

16 oz. can. Dated 03/29/22. Received in a trade with Tfontana. Aroma is half grapefruit and half lemon. Flavor is similar with a soft pillowy mouth feel and zero bitterness. Has good amount of freshly squeezed juice character. Really good!
