Cash at source: pours dark brown with loose head. Nutty, pretzels. Taste is malty, light bitterness. Fairly smooth.

Draft at Churchkey. Poured a nutty brown color, with a small off-white, tan head. Aroma was toffee, roasted nuts. Very light, but I kind if like it like that. Very light and easy to drink. Would drink this again.

Draft: Poured a brown with a beige head. Aroma is malty, bakers chocolate, nuts. Taste is malty, nutty, dry finish.

Pounder from a wine bar in SC. Couple months in the fridge. Mojito glass @home. Frothy cookie butter head, garnet brown body, a touch of haze. Cola & marzipan nose, a touch of black tea astringency that reading Nimbleprop's rating made me look for. Un-toasted brown bread, slivered almond, molasses, sharp acidity, unripe fruit, medium low steel & herbal/bark bitterness on the back end. Fizzy, full, starchy, strong enough. Okay to good, just a bit too sharp.

Cask pour is a translucent dark brown with a nice cap of off white head. Nose has some black tea, malt, a little toast, some butterscotch. Flavor is a bit simpler. Malt and tea and a little brown sugar. Medium bodied. On cask at the brewery. Pours dark brown. Biscuit, dark chocolate, earthy, pear, nutty. Nice soft body. Decent.

Super deep and dark brown coloured body with a nice, very luscious three to four centimetre tall rich tan head that fades very quickly and only leaves a slim layer on top. Aroma of roasted malt, molasses, caramelised sugars, a dose of almonds and walnuts, some earth, a hint of tobacco with the scents all ending with some milk and cream notes. Light to perhaps Medium-bodied; Strong rich dry roated malt, grain and anise notes dominate with some lighter sweetness from the lactose, caster sugar and raisin flavours. Aftertaste is deep, very dry, but incredibly flavourful - especially compared to the alcohol percentage - this is packed with dry and creamy notes that hit on some sweetness as well along with ending in a convivial way. Overall, a nice and full-flavoured mild with a nice kick from the lactose and milk, but also ending super nicely with a relatxing profile. Good to have, and a well-made mild, which is very nice, considering it's hard to even find a mild around anymore! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, given to me by the GM of the brewery after a hockey game on 05-February-2020, sampled at home in Washington on 28-March-2020 - Thanks Erik!
