Refrigerated pint can poured into a glass. Opaque purple with small pink head. Aroma is cherry fudge, medium body, medium carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is Black Forest cake and tart cherries.

Aroma has notes of coconut, cherry, chocolate; a lot like a chocolate covered cherry. Taste is moderately sour (6/10) and fairly sweet with flavors of chocolate covered cherries. Slightly thin and softly carbonated.

Aromas are sweet cherries, vanilla and malt. Appearance is zero head over a pinkish purple liquid with solids dispersed throughout. Flavors are similar to nose, sweet at first then going tart and then back to sweet again. Full-bodied and zesty carbonation that works very well. Nice to try one but just one.

Can: Poured a thick maroon with a thin pink head. Arom is as advertised just like a black forest cake, chocolate, cherries, cake. Taste is light sour, cherries, vanilla, cake, chocolate.

I’m not sure if I’ve had a beer fromDrekker before but I’m sure I’ve had a Black Forest cake beer. I believe it was from Garage Project and I had it at the first MCBCT. Drekker Slang du Jour 7.3% Black Forest Cake Sour a la Mode The label had me feeling it’s festive in a Halloween way. great looking thick purple color with pink fizzy foam that vanished before I could take a photo. Awesome chocolate aroma wafts from the glass, on closer smell you get the cherry and cocoa powder. Medium to full and very sweet cherrry chocolate cake. The finish/aftertaste is sweetly tart candied cherries and chocolate. As I drank more this grew on me, really nice stuff.

Pint can from Wine Cellar Depere, 10/1/22. Dark red, hazy, looks like blood. Large purple head, average retention. Aroma of cherry, vanilla, lactose. Taste is vanilla, cherry, orange, lemon. Hint of chocolate. Lingering tartness. Nice.
