Moher Mocha is a blended barrel-aged stout using select bourbon barrels aged between sixteen and twenty-two months, plus a small amount of fresh stout.

It is then conditioned upon roasted cacao nibs, coffee, & constituents that approximate the flavor of Irish Whiskey before packaging.

A wildly complex beer almost two years in the making, it tastes like rich milk chocolate, creamy coffee, and chocolate-covered bourbon candies in your glass.

12 oz bottle Thanks. Brian! Aroma shows soft coffee, bourbon, vanilla. Flavor is quite good. Body is full and thick with a smooth texture. The vanilla, coffee are here in the flavor with bourbon showing a soft booze. Wow!

Bottle drunk 5/29/24. Dark, syrupy. Scant bubbles. Wow, rich, savory, decadent, some Irish whiskey and Irish cream. Chocolate, dates, vanilla, rich but mellow bourbon...fudge. just so aromatic and rich but balanced. No booze. Wow, that's not nearly as sweet as expected. A lot of dryness leading to molasses and light bourbon intensity. Coffee is very light, just a light bitter roast in the background, with molasses and rich cacao lingering long alongside syrupy caramel-vanilla. Well that is something. Wasn't expecting this balance and flavor intensity from a blended stout. Lots of bourbon spice, roast, and molasses character lingering. Coffee adds complexity but it's a dry, bitter roast that I'm not sure is needed.

12oz bottle pours an inky black, leggy, basically no head.  Nose is cocoa, malt, clear bourbon, caramel, brownie.  Flavor of cola and some cherry then all the baked chocolatey stuff.  Full bodied, boozy finish.  Smooth though.  7 3 8 4 14
