Half-pint, cask ale, 4 % abv, at Barley Mow. Loose bubbly white head, deep amber body, scattered lacing. Quite inviting malt-fruity smell. Mixed taste of nutty caramel and leafy hops. Semi-dry ending, bittersweet. True to the style, more or less. (Southsea 18.10.2022).

Cask at Queens Head, Frodsham (not listed in RateBeer) Pours a pale gold with a small white head. Nose has some floral hops. Taste is lemon with a little malt, but texture is thin and watery. Finish is bitter and fruity. Basically a thirst quencher. Jennings make some good beers – this isn’t one of them
