Old rating from 2014 - Pint from the cask in Cumbria, pours amber with a white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of citrus, lemon, flora, toffee & malt. Medium body. Moderate bitter finish.

Clear deep gold with a frothy / creamy white head and a cereal aroma. There's a little kick of bitterness ahead of a light malt and fruity taste

Half-pint, cask ale, 4 % abv, at Barley Mow. Loose bubbly white head, deep amber body, scattered lacing. Quite inviting malt-fruity smell. Mixed taste of nutty caramel and leafy hops. Semi-dry ending, bittersweet. True to the style, more or less. (Southsea 18.10.2022).

Cask at the Bull's Head, Manchester. Amber pour with a white head. Nose is bitter malts, grapefruit, touch of dried fruit. Taste is grapefruit,citric peel,oodles of bitter malts. Bitter malty finish.

Creamy off white head stayed on a copper coloured body. Sweet malt aroma, Smooth, creamy & cloying. Sweet malt, berries, tea & caramel tastes. Thus cask had seen better days.

Cask at Queens Head, Frodsham (not listed in RateBeer) Pours a pale gold with a small white head. Nose has some floral hops. Taste is lemon with a little malt, but texture is thin and watery. Finish is bitter and fruity. Basically a thirst quencher. Jennings make some good beers – this isn’t one of them

10/2/2020. Cask at the Eagle Vaults, Worcester. Pours clear amber with a bubbly/frothy white head. Aroma is malty, fruity, light hop, caramel and flowers with a slight cheesy edge. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, average to soft carbonation.

Cask. Badger Bar, Rydal. Light amber color. Hoppy, oaky aroma. Very hopbitter flavor, herbal. Maybe just a hint of citrus and cinnamon. Excellent hoppy ale.

Cask at Tubwell Tap, Darlington. Golden colour, white foam head leaving lacing and fruity aroma. Taste is pale malt, grain, with fruity bitterness. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. OK.

Cask half pint, at The Lamplighter, St. Helier. Copper colour, white head. Moderate aroma. Malty flavour, with sharpish and slightly metallic hops in the finish.
