Yeasty honeyish aroma and flavor, that doesn't leave room for much else. Some peach, good lacing. Not too bad, but I prefer honey on my sandwich, not in my beer.

Bottle @ home. Huge off-white head on top of a brownish / amber colored beer. Don’t smell much, just a little bit of sweetness, I guess from the honey. Taste is dominated by too much carbonation, only taste some sweetness, some nuts and herbs or spices. Don’t like it, mainly because the overwhelming carbonation.

Warning! Early amateur rating! A lovely porter with a slightly thick palate. Sumptuos - no bitterness at all. Slightly sweet and very moorish!

Chocolatey brown colour with tight foam head. Sweet aroma. Smooth, slightly oily texture. Sweet honey flavour at first then a full bitter porter flavour with hints of cocoa and coffee. Pleasant, sweet lingering aftertaste.

330 ml bottle, thanks to oh6gdx and chris_o. ABV is 5.5%. Cloudy dark brown colour, nearly black, reddish in the highlights. Creamy and lasting tan head. The aroma is malty and somehow "unfresh" (I wouldn’t have thought of "beef stock" myself, but yes, you’ve got a point there, yngwie!), the honey is there, but without the light and floral notes that usually accompany it. No fruitiness at all in the aroma. The flavour is somewhat better: plenty of malts with a moderate roastiness, fairly sweet, notes of mild coffee, caramel, some chocolate and of course honey. Hardly any fruitiness, and not much bitterness. Not particularly well balanced, and is far from being my favourite porter.

Bottled (BB 01/2009)
Dark brown colorm small tan head. Aroma has brown sugar, honey and toasted dark malts. Mouthfeel is a bit thin. Malt base is dark toasted malts, then there is some yeasty notes and caramel malts. Also somehops in the finish (tasting like wet cardboard). Not very impressive, too light and not much honey in it.
