Yeasty, a bit malty. Crispy, a bit sweet and dirty. Ok, nothing impressive here.

Notater fra andre stopp på årets BMM. Fra fat: nesten helt klar gylden med fint skum som varer til bunns. Grapefrukt, bitterappelsin, honning og noen tropiske frukter. Mye mersmak i den fine avslutningen.

Bottle from Hogs Back shop. I guess Hiver have decided to give beers without honey a go (not mentioned in the ingredients). However the aroma is still sweet and malty. Pale gold. Thin creamy white head retreats to the rim. Light-medium bitter with a citrus edge. But there's juicy sweetness in there. Underlying malts. Light. Thin but slick. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish. Not too bad.

Bottle, as Fabal Lager, seven months before bbd. Pours clear darkish yellow, with a big creamy head. Aroma is hoppy floral notes with herbs and sweet citrus, as well as light malts with cereals, toffee and honey. Medium body, with average carbonation. Flavour is light grainy malts with cereals and honey, as well as some herbal hops with citrusy notes. Just another generic lager really.

330 ml bottle, as Fabal Lager. Hiver is not mentioned on the label, but the address is the same. ABV is 4%. Bought at Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. Clear pale golden, small white head. Moderately sweetish aroma with notes of pilsener malts, grass, honey and flowers. Moderate carbonation, soft but moderately citric mouthfeel. The fairly crisp flavour has a little citrus, and decent grassy and herbal hops.
