Lots of biscuity malt character from the best quality Scottish malted barley. Crystal malt add toffee and caramel taste and black malt contributes a crisp astringent balance. Challenger and Goldings hops add a fresh herbal and resin hop note as well as a refreshing bitter linger to balance with the sweet malt character.

Nitro can. Sweet cracker malt with an earthy background. Pours a clear amber with a full, creamy ivory head of small bubbles. Rich and malty. Moderate bitterness. After the mid-palate, there is an off-putting sharp flavor that seems flawed. Thin mouthfeel.

Catch-up rating. The beer looks nice with a copper body with a thick creamy head. This has a nice amount of sweet malt and a different sort of fruit smell. The taste is very nice with a strong amount of malt, but it because sort of a chocolate flavor. There is also a good amount of burnt caramel.

Nitro tap at The Harbourlights, Noordwijk. Clear ruby amber colour, creamy off-white head. Aroma of caramel, confit fruits, hint of smoke and toast. Flavour is sweet, malty, caramel, confit fruit, nice smokey touch, tobacco, decent bitter finish. Light to medium-bodied, good mouthfeel for such a low ABV beer. Good.

Bouteille 500ml.

12oz bottle courtesy of Anndiesel. Filtered dull copper-tan color. Thin off-white head. Smooth and refreshing on my American palate. Nutty, toasty malt tones. Well balanced, mild fishy soapy hop balance. Creamy, easy drinking. Medium bodied, tastes a lot like a Cream Ale.
