He is a ruler, an overlord, a top dog, a crowned head. In the realm of all that is tart and sour, Jelly King reigns supreme.
Rather than choosing between sour or hoppy, we decided to create a beer that would be both at the same time. Showcasing the aromatic benefits of a generous dry hop, harnessing the prowess of lactic acidity, and coming to a bottle near you without a pesky slumber in oak, Jelly King is the fermented embodiment of immediate gratification.
What it smells like, what it tastes like, what it looks like: Refreshingly tart base, punchy hop aromatics and lots of bright, fruity flavours.

0,5l bottle at home. No obvious BB date. yellow rather hazy color, small white head. smells very fruity, of guava, passion fruit, quie citric, some grapefruit, salty, bit earthy. nice to very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes citric, earthy, spices, peppery, some brown sugar, some guava, grapefruit, grassy, some lychee. finishes lightly dry and lightly sour with notes of citrus, guava and some earthy notes. very nice one, very refreshing, good complexity, quite nice to drink.

MBCC. Hazy yellow with small white head. Aroma is malt, fruits, tropical fruits, sour and lemon. Flavour is malt, fruit, tropical fruits, lemon, citric, passionfruit and a little sour.

Aus der Flasche im 2018-08 getrunken. Dieses Ale hat eine wunderbare Kombination von Frucht (Guava Mango Passionfruit) und wohl dosierte Säure. Die einzige Schwachstelle ist nur der mittelmäßige Körper wodurch der Abgang nicht so lang ist wie ich es mir bei diesen tollen Früchtaromen wünschen würde.

Nice fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head, hazy orangy color. Aroma is slightly sweet sour-ish fruity, passionfruit, mango, passionfruit stones, soda powder, grass, dried tropical fruits, citrus. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish fruity, passionfruit stones, sorrel, citrus, passionfruit, dried tropical fruits, soda powder, paper, grass. Medium bitterness, slightly dry sour-ish fruity mouthfeel. Nice.

Keg at MBCC 2018 Blue (session Zwei), 11/05/18. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is pissy citric peel, green berry funk, damp straw, grains. Taste comprises on the turn mango flesh, funk, straw, balsa wood, sharp citric bute, pissy green berry snap. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced acidity. Decen tropical fruit laden sour.

On tap at Darby's Gastown, pours an opaque cloudy peach with no head. Aroma brings out loads of tropical fruits, five alive, and light lacto. Flavour is like juice, with lots of tropical fruit juice, five alive, and yogurty lacto. Flat carbonation and it could really use some. Juicy and pithy. Fun beer.
